Andrea Clark-Merwin

Andrea (Pogo) Clark-Merwin has been involved with Rugby for the past 15 years as a player, coach, administrator, and multi board member. Originally from Edina, MN she started playing rugby at Edina High School and went on to play the majority of her career in Madison, WI with the Wisconsin Women’s Rugby Football Club, which included participation in a National Championship run in 2016. During that time with Wisconsin she bounced around between multiple positions on the Executive Board, eventually serving as Club President and Forwards Captain. She also served on the Madison United Rugby Board for 4 years, and is proud to currently be the Vice President of the Ethos of Rugby Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of rugby and its ethos by strengthening education, leadership development, and health and wellness. 

Andrea (Pogo) is a World Rugby L1 certified coach, and spent 4 years coaching high school girl’s rugby in Wisconsin, as well as 3 years coaching youth flag rugby. She believes in creating and maintaining a positive team culture, open communication and trust between coaches and athletes, and building confidence through player development. After moving back to Minnesota, she is now excited to grow her coaching experience, and honored to do so with the Twin Cities Amazons.
